From the marble hallways of Tennessee’s State Capitol, to the networking opportunities provided through conventions and other Association gatherings, your Tennessee Automotive Association has been at your service since 1939.
The Tennessee Automotive Association is a membership based organization designed to protect, promote and advance the general welfare of the Tennessee retail car and truck dealer, our valued associate and finance members and our customers.
Every individual and every voice in any industry is important; but through the combined efforts of many individuals with many voices joined together in association, greater benefits are provided and far reaching changes are made.  This is your Tennessee Automotive Association!

Federal and State Government Representation

In addition to supporting the federal efforts of the National Automobile Dealers Association and the American International Automobile Dealers Association, TAA has proven itself to be without peer when it comes to both the passage of pro-industry legislation as well as defeating burdensome legislation and regulations at the state level.
At the regulatory level, TAA is an active participant at the meetings of the Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission.  We work closely with and maintain positive relationships with the Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Taxpayer and Vehicle Services Division, the State Attorney General’s Office, the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance, Division of Consumer Affairs, the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation and other state agencies.

  • TAA promotes and protects the Tennessee dealer/manufacturer franchise law in order to maintain and enhance the value of your business.

  • TAA assists members with Tennessee regulatory agencies.

  •  TAA has an open line of communication with motor vehicle manufacturers, state regulatory agencies, policy makers and legislators.

  • TAA conducts informative meetings for you and your employees.

  •  The TAA Bulletin is recognized as one of the best in the country.

  • Through our for-profit subsidiary, Tennessee Automotive Association Service Company, our Endorsements Committee seeks out and partners with firms whose valued-added products and services are geared towards enhancing your bottom line.

Theodore Roosevelt once said:

“Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged.  No man has a moral right to withhold his support from an organization that is trying to improve conditions within his sphere.”
The bottomline … TAA is committed to you and your success.

The Tennessee Automotive Association owns its office building.  Built in the 1960’s and extensively renovated in 1996, it is a facility we are proud to call our own.  Best of all, it is bought and paid for.  Come by and visit us anytime!
